Sea Base Summer 2024
In the summer of 2024, we are heading to BSA's Sea Base in the Florida Keys for a week of high adventure sailing on the open seas.
This trip will be for all Scouts who are at First Class rank or above and at least 14 years old.

During this sailing trip, Scouts will have the opportunity to sail the waters offshore the Florida Keys and snorkel the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, one of the world's largest coral reefs.
Scouts will also study astronomy, nautical navigation and fish and coral reef ecology. Scouts will learn hands-on all facets of boat handling and safety.
We do not yet have dates set for this trip. Registration for the summer of 2024 trips will be open on January 18, 2023 at 9AM.
Sea Base has a first come, first served reservation system.
We need to know now who can make this trip! Add your name to the list here. This will help us to determine how many crews to reserve.
Crew sizes number up to 10 Scouts and 2 adults for the ECO STEM Sailing program (our first choice)
and up to 6 Scouts and 2 adults for the Coral Reef and Keys Adventure Sailing programs (our second and third choices).
The total fee for the week at Sea Base is $1,200 per Scout. The fee is the same regardless of which sailing program we reserve.
The Troop is providing a $200 subsidy for this trip. The Troop subsidy can be increased if the Scout achieves sales milestones during our March 2023 BBQ fundraiser. More details to follow about this fundraiser.
The fee schedule per Scout is as follows (transportation costs to be determined later):

- $200 due upon initial signup. Signup deadline is January 15, 2023.
- $200 due on February 15, 2023
- $300 due on October 15, 2023
- $300 due on April 15, 2024
