Join Troop 116!

For boys aged 11 years old or have completed 5th grade

Troop 116 meets once a week, every Monday at 7PM at Sharon Baptist Church (second floor of the childcare building).  We are a member of the Mecklenburg County Council within the Boys Scouts of America (BSA) organization.  Our Troop was organized in April 1962, and ever since, we have focused on creating a combination of action-packed adventure trips, instructive weekly programs, and the opportunity to engage our boys in leadership and community service.  The mission of BSA helps to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Law and Scout Oath.

Joining Troop 116 is easy!  Just contact our Scoutmaster at sm@troop116.org and attend a weekly meeting.  We promise to be a great place to make new friends, participate in monthly outdoor adventures (backpacking, skiing, canoeing, sailing, cycling and more), learn new skills (first aid, camping, fire safety), acquire leadership skills (team-building and public speaking) and serve your community (annual food drives for Loaves & Fishes, semi-annual cleanup projects for Adopt-a-Stream).  Youth who progress in time and rank in our Troop are able to earn the coveted Eagle Award, a lifetime achievement unlike any other.

Come join Troop 116!  We promise fun and opportunity!

Join Pack 116!

For boys and girls grades K-5

Pack 116 meets once a month, on the second Tuesday of every month, at 7PM at Sharon Baptist Church (second floor of the childcare building).  Both boys and girls enrolled in kindergarten to fifth grade can join Cub Scout Pack 116.  We're all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome.  With the help of powerful learning projects and outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience--no matter the difficulty of the challenge.

Joining Pack 116 is easy!  Just contact our Cubmaster at TruxPratt@gmail.com and attend a monthly meeting.  Our Cub Scout leaders will partner with parents to lead a fun and rewarding program that includes a wide array of activities, including games, projects, skits, stunts, songs, outdoor trips and service projects.  These activities offer opportunities for growth, achievement and family involvement.

Come join Pack 116!  We're all about fun!
