We are going to Philmont in 2026!
We are happy to announce that Troop 116 has been approved to send two crews to the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico in June 2026!

Our 12-day backpack expedition number is 618-105. Our check-in date will be June 18, 2026 and our departure date will be June 30, 2026.
Yes, this trip is 19 months away, but we must make our first deposit on December 1, 2024. The deposit is $150 per person. We reserved space for two crews. Each crew can comprise up to 12 persons, at least three of whom must be adults. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join this trip with their Scouts. It is a lifetime memory with your Scout.
The total Philmont fee for this trip is $1,725 per person (the same for Scout or adult). An installment payment of $787.50 per person is due on October 1, 2025, and the final payment of $787.50 per person is due March 1, 2025. This covers all Philmont fees (food, lodging and equipment) but does not include air transportation to and from Philmont.

Troop 116 has sent crews to Philmont many times over our 60 years of existence, and it has never failed to be the best and most memorable trip of all our Scouts. In addition to a 12-day backpacking trek in the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico, crews will participate in a wide variety of high adventure activities every day, to include rock climbing, fly fishing, archery, rifle and shotgun shooting, mountain biking and more.
