1997 National Scout Jamboree, Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia
July 23 - August 6, 1997

As part of the Mecklenburg County Council, Troop 116 had 10 Scouts and 3 adults attend as registered participants.

10 of our Scouts were members of the 2 Council Contingent Troops, 1502 and 1503.
One of our Eagle Scouts was Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 1503.
One of our Life Scouts was Patrol Leader of the Eagle Patrol in Troop 1503.
Another of our Life Scouts was Assistant Patrol Leader of the Tarheel Patrol in Troop 1502.
Another of our Eagle Scouts was 3rd Asst. Scoutmaster of Troop 1502.
Another adult leader was 2nd Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 1503.
A third adult leader served on the Jamboree Staff in Trading Post Services.
