Troop 116 Boy Scouts of America Mecklenburg County Council #415, Charlotte, NC Boy Scout Troop 116, Charlotte, NC, sponsored by St. John's Episcopal Church, is one of the strongest troops in the Mecklenburg County Council. Since being chartered in April, 1962, Troop 116 has consistently gone on numerous outings and special High Adventure expeditions, had well over 200 Eagle Scouts, and earned the right to call itself: “The Action Troop” ® Chartered - April, 1962 Meetings Monday Nights, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., St. John's Episcopal Church Scoutmaster - Gil Middlebrooks, SM@troop116.org Senior Patrol Leader - Scotty Gustafson We are proud of the many years of excellent Scouting experience provided to the hundreds of young men who have been members of Troop 116. Ours is a tradition of excellence and achievement. This Web site was designed and originally published in 1995 by Bob Kearley, Troop 116 Eagle Scout #114. For its first five years this site was hosted by Charlotte's Web, an innovator in community Internet services. Thanks go to the staff and volunteers at the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County for their help in expanding the communications of Troop 116 with one of the first Boy Scout troop Web sites in the world.
