is one of the strongest troops in the Mecklenburg County Council.
Since being chartered in April, 1962,
Troop 116 has consistently gone on numerous outings and
special High Adventure expeditions,
had well over 250 Eagle Scouts, and earned the right to call itself:
“The Action Troop” ®
Chartered - April, 1962
Meetings Monday Nights, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., St. John's Episcopal Church
Scoutmaster - David Fredenberg, SM@troop116.org
Senior Patrol Leader - Phillip Sellers
We are proud of the many years of excellent Scouting experience provided to the hundreds of young men who have been members of Troop 116. Ours is a tradition of excellence and achievement.

This Web site was designed and originally published in 1995 by Bob Kearley, and later enhanced by Charlie Love, Troop 116 Eagle Scouts #114 and #111. As one of the first Boy Scout troop Web sites in the world, it was hosted for its first five years by Charlotte's Web, an innovator in community Internet services, administered by the staff and volunteers at the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Since 2000, hosting and technical services have been generously provided by Spencer Love, Love Web Wiz, a friend of the Troop. Thanks to all for your help in expanding the communications of Troop 116.
